I realize it has been FOREVER since I've posted! I have no excuse except that professors are evil and make us take these things called mid-terms.
So the last few days it has been raining and as a result I am transported back to my "home" in the UK where it rained, no drizzled, from October to March. This rain was never large droplets where when one hits you it's like putting your head under a shower head like it is here in the States. Nor was the rain ever cold. Rain is unpleasant to walk in here in the States. In the UK it is marvelous! It was such a wonderful feeling, I can't even describe it.
So on campus whenever it rains there is one article of clothing that makes it's appearance in almost every girls' outfit. WELLIES!!!
Yes, every shade, pattern and color makes it's appearance anytime there is even a whiff of rain coming or on the ground. Now don't get me wrong I have my own pair of colorful wellies in my closet, but for me wellies have always been the green plastic things you wear to keep your feet dry when workin' hard!
Another thing that appears during the rain are the Sig Ep boys across the street. They enjoy playing in the rain and making the most of the shallow place in front of their house that creates a puddle for them to splash in. It's highly entertaining to see the various states of dress that come out the door when they all decide to go play in the rain!
