So this is what I wanted to show you the other day!! Prince William Forest Park has it's own collections building. And the other Cultural intern and I have to go everyday and do environmental checks! It's really cool!

I also got to clean an artifact yesterday! Below are before and after photos! It's a piece from a head wall in the park that's being rebuilt. The concrete on top has initials and a date on it. After cleaning it I also found the name "Curtis" and another date.... '46! Yes that's 1946! AWESOME!!! Also in the process of cleaning it, I had my first encounter with a copperhead. Yeah.... it ran away from me and I stayed away from it! :)
